What I liked
The words! The use of words is so measured and perfectly placed. The specificity. The turquoise lighting matching the special turquoise dress matching the cold and empty feeling at home. The whiplash of switching between tearful argument and upbeat car dealership jargon. The mom’s worries, Love Thy Neighbor, the lamp analogy, IT BEING HER BIRTHDAY! Again, all I have to say is Wow.
What I didn't like
The house lights were up during a lot of the show so I got distracted by other audience members moving or gesturing. Other than that, nothing.
My overall impression
“Who really cares about my story anyway?” ME. I DO. I CARE A LOT. I was blown away by Heather’s intensity and gift of storytelling. I was able to picture bits of her life as she re-enacted them and I am so lucky to have been able to witness this genius emotional rollercoaster. Wow is all I have to say. Wow!
