What I liked

The performances are terrific all around. Jen Albert embodies Boudica with an unquestioned authority, a good sense of humor, and a haunting lust for revenge. The script also balances the darker elements with the lighter ones seamlessly. The fight choreography is stunning, especially given the space they had. I won’t give it away but there is a scene with some impressive puppetry that made my jaw drop.

What I didn't like

There were some interesting supporting characters that I would’ve liked to have seen more of.

My overall impression

Top-notch storytelling filled with great action, visuals, and performances. Christopher Johnson has crafted a wonderful script and directs a tight, fast-paced show. Jen Albert leads a committed group of actors as they tackle an ancient story filled with modern relevance with a great combination of sincerity and humor. An excellent example of how you can work within the constraints of Fringe and still put on a fully-realized, high concept production.
