An original, engaging theater experience, Housewife ‘52 combines music, movement, and subtle subversion. With an impressive cast of actors/singers who take you on an abstract, expressive journey, the show comments on oppressive relationships with self, society, social conditions and consequences. A highlight of the Fringe festival for sure… even better the second time.... full review

Wow. An amazing show about housewives withering away in 1952, set to music, singing and movement. Highly theatrical, which was a welcome experience. The cast was excellent. The music was great, and at times haunting. The use of minimal lighting at times accentuated the mood and the emotion. Highly recommend.... full review

Incredibly tight and specific ensemble show and not your typical fringe fare. It's a musical but not your typical musical. It's a dance piece but of its own kind. Each and every one of the cast members were amazing, specific and exciting to watch. Overall this show definitely gave me some updated Living Theatre vibes (for all my super theatre nerds out there).... full review

I've never seen anything like this before. The writing, the acting, the band, the physical movements all complimented each other well. I love how the whole stage was used and the actors came into the audience. It was a very unique way to tell the stories of the 50's housewife and the husbands who loved them- both of their internal struggles, faults, and positives.... full review

A level well above much fringe-fare. Very carefully detailed text, music, and movement, all performed with seemingly effortless crisp precision. Is there a best ensemble award this year? Not surprised that the creator has NYC roots as this piece would be very much at home in a lower-east-side experimental theatre space. ... full review

A GREAT show ! An extreme amount of percussion that I wasn't expecting. A very lot of effort went into the detail and overall production. I loved the references to Linoleum, Martini-zing, and Tupperware. Great original insights on a time long gone.... full review
