What I liked
This was so much fun! The puzzles were engaging, the actors were committed, the costumes were AMAZING, and the final fight was so epic. It’s really well-done and mostly very organized from start to finish. Definitely worth checking out!
What I didn't like
One of the biggest issues was bottlenecking – sometimes multiple guests were sent to one actor and had to stand around and essentially waste time. Also, at the beginning my God sent me to a very specific other god for a specific quest, but that god seemed clueless as to why I was sent to her. It started things out on the wrong foot but fortunately this show provides so much agency I simply chose another path and still ended up having a great time!
One more thing, it is less than ideal to complete a quest, only to see 5 other people do the exact same thing. It makes it seem like you don’t have as much agency over the narrative as I personally would like.
I’m providing this all as gentle constructive criticism because I would LOVE to see this again, with these issues resolved!
My overall impression
A super fun show! It was one of my favorite things I saw this year. Hopefully they bring it back for an extended run!
