Corduroy’s writing is weird and honest and insightful. His performance as Alfred was also hilarious. He’s a gifter performer. Ammy has such levels and it was captivating to watch her. Malachi and her had amazing chemistry.
What I didn't like
The show owned it’s only complexity and off-the-wallness quite nicely. I would like to know more about Ammy’s brother, and her and her ex’s history. This can be developed into an even more thought provoking piece.
My overall impression
This show pinpoints exactly the existential crisis that so many artists go through when trying to reason why they are doing the work they do. Funny and ridiculous and also weirdly touching, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of The Human(oid) Experience.
