The cast was superb. Corduroy Chapman is hilarious as Alfred and then handles the turn to seriousness with perfection. Ammy Ontiveros takes the audience on a touching journey to find that elusive human connection we all seek. She also handles comedy well, scoring big laughs with all of her comic moments. She is a talent. And Malachi Beasley delivers great supporting work as two distinctly different characters.
What I didn't like
The jerk off street preacher who would have ruined the show if not for the quick work of Ammy Ontiveros. Staying in character, she approached the window and asked him to move along, only for him to yell some obscenities at her from the street below, you know, just as Jesus would do. But Ammy, with her quick wit, shut him down and then shut the window ending that nuisance quickly. She stayed in character so well that I actually thought it was part of the show until told otherwise after the show.
My overall impression
Funny and thought provoking show with a great cast.
