This is about as good and magical as it can get, friends. John Wuchte takes us on a uniquely cohesive physical and musical journey into the mythic quest for the actress to play Scarlett O'Hara and ends up taking us into a surprisingly internal 'all things Hollywood' experience that resonates quite soundly today. With music created by John Wuchte & Michael Teoli and provided live by Wuchte and his fellow percussion and guitar playing muses, 8 actors deliver a performance you won't want to miss.... full review

Performed by an ensemble of 8 actors who work together perfectly to create a dream-like atmosphere exploring this Hollywood legend, the story unfolds in 10 moments incorporating constant and incredibly entertaining stylized movement, gesture work, dance, chant, song, original text, several suitcases, and an enormous Scarlett dress (created by Aaron Francis and Linda Muggeridge), all performed to a riveting drum beat thanks to musicians Kent Jenkins, Gordon Wimpress, Shih-Wei Carrasco-Wu, and John Wuchte who created and directed/choreographed the show.... full review

Scarlett Fever revisits David O. Selznick’s highly publicized search for the perfect actress to play Scarlett O’Hara in Gone With the Wind. One of the most successful publicity stunts in Hollywood history, the facts have been examined in books, dramas, and documentaries. Writer/Director/Creator John Wuchte’s idea is to view the story through his unique fusion of kinesics, stylized dialogue, and percussion. The result, unlikely as it sounds, is a captivating and hypnotic dance through a Tinseltown tall tale.
