What I liked

By turning George Lucas the myth into an ordinary man, a hungry young artist searching for his voice, GEORGE. draws us into his artistic process and the personal decisions that paved the way for perhaps the biggest movie franchise of all time. The play is full of interesting backstage details, humanizing moments, and the kind of witty banter you’d expect from creative luminaries like Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola, and Steven Spielberg. Whether or not you’re a fan of Star Wars, this is an engaging, relatable story for the whole family.

What I didn't like

There were a few moments I wanted to linger in for longer, but there’s a lot of ground to cover. And as a longtime Scorsese fan, I could’ve used more Marty.

My overall impression

The insightful story of how George Lucas went from a timid assistant to a creator of worlds.
