Review from Haunting.net
Outer space has always been a somewhat difficult concept for me. Even the word itself—space—implies a vast, incomprehensible emptiness. Proxima is 4.22 lightyears from Earth, though, and Macora’s transport vessel, The Pod, is only equipped to sustain one person for a journey that long. Consequently, I’m being provided with an android companion, Ellie (pl...

The Pod reminds me of childhood adventures pretending the closet was a spaceship. The show is very well designed, crafted, and acted--professional adults launching a kid's beloved fantasy. ...

"The Pod" was a moving, transformational journey into the depths of space, and I couldn't have anticipated the touching effect it had on me. What a treat for the senses! The overall programming, from intake video to Pod effects really contributed to the immersive experience. Really very well done on all fronts. And Katelyn. Just, stunning. ...

Such an intimate, vulnerable, probing and -- in its own way -- comforting experience. These creators have really taken a point of view and crafted an experience that will speak to each of us, both the eager and the disbeliever. It's also just a solid 20 minutes of fun....

All the awards. Just give it all the awards. And I don't just mean Fringe. Valley Theatre Awards, Tony, Oscar, just give it awards. A room that looks like my apartment legit became outer space, Katelyn Schiller is... literally an otherworldly talent. Nick Rhinewald-Jones has done his best piece so far. I was expecting this, but I was not expecting THIS. And now it's sold out so I can feel all special and haughty and SO I SHALL!! (dons top hat and cane and looks down at you)...
