What a great show. As a musical theater and G&S fan, it was a wonderful blend of both! The story was silly fun just like G&S with a twist. I enjoyed the bawdy humor. When a show makes the “turn off your cellphone” speech into its own bit, I know I’m in for a treat. Very glad I went....

The show was well written and the composition lines and voicing were well crafted. DeRosa is one of the most promising young talents in the world of orchestration and composition. There aren’t many composers writing new operas these days. Her work is refreshing and brings a revitalization to a dying craft which is long overdue.
The staging and direction by Clymer allowed for the show to have a very balanced visual feel and the homage to composers of the past was sweet and endearing.

The show was great! A lot of hilarious moments and witty punchlines. Brooke is an awesome person and a great writer. This is the second show I have seen of hers (Monkey’s Paw 2017) and it never ceases to amaze me! The show was just an hour long- the perfect amount of time for a quick plot with many dynamic levels of drama/comedy. ...

An crackerjack ensemble of great performers brought Brooke DeRosa's burlesque operetta to genuinely hilarious life. The show, a sharp stew of American vaudeville, Gilbert and Sullivan, and murder-mystery dinner theater, packed far more than its one-hour's run time worth of well-timed gags, cornball Western anthems and choreographed ensembles--and all delivered with wonderful vocal finesse, and directed simply and crisply by Jennifer Clymer....

Gunfight at the Not-So-Ok Saloon was a fun time! It grabbed you even before the show started when two of the characters/actors from the play warned you to put your phone away, etc. They were funny then and the humorous tone continued throughout the show! ...
