I really liked the show
It had a lot of catchy tunes, it was funny and included so many of the "standard" western tropes in a very clever way

A fabulously funny one act old west operetta in the style of Gilbert & Sullivan. Joyous and silly with a biting lyrical wit, Gunfight merges the musical complexity of light opera (including singers with gorgeous voices) with the tone and narrative sensibility of Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles. The performers all have legit opera voices and the composer/librettist pulls off the extremely difficult trick of writing beautiful music which is also very humorous. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an hour's whimsical respite from all the doom and gloom. ...

Set in the dusty streets of a not-so-glamorous Wild West town, the show takes the traditional trope of the high-noon gunfight and turns it on its head, presenting characters that seem more preoccupied wi...

Composer/Creator Brooke DeRosa has an obvious affection for, and understanding of, the mix of catchy melody and clever lyrics that made Gilbert & Sullivan’s works audience favorites for well over a century. But rather than contenting herself with placing PIRATES OF PENZANCE on the next SpaceX shuttle, DeRosa has created her own homage to G & S, with GUNFIGHT AT THE NOT-SO-OK SALOON. And a very fun evening it is.
