The actors were all phenomenal. Every single one of them.
The plot was far better than I’d expected and I was honestly really interested in seeing how it all turned out. The fact that I couldn’t figure out where it was going to end was also great, because that honestly doesn’t happen all that often.
And the surprise chance to actually vote at the end was awesome. I just wish my candidate had won.
What I didn't like
The transitions were sometimes a little long for me. And the constant breaks to the news commentators eventually seemed a little worn out as a joke. As in they may have come up one or two too many times.
My overall impression
I honestly did not expect to enjoy a show about Lincoln somehow being a presidential candidate in 2020. BOY, was I wrong. BOYWAS I WRONG. This show is exceptionally funny, goofy in all the right ways, manages to infuse some deep political satire and cautionary flags—all in a comedy that was so good the person next to me (who had another show scheduled and had asked me to tell him how it ended later) ended up staying to see the ENTIRE thing.
