What I liked

The acting, the lighting, the staging, the exploration of grief and loneliness in everyday people.

What I didn't like

What came through for me, like I said, was the exploration of grief and loneliness, and even suicidal thoughts, in everyday people, which I thought was a great unique theatrical endeavor. The characters’ ethnicity or even gender didn’t really play into it that much. I expected more of a controversial social/political story from the tagline: a white lady and a brown dude in the woods in Connecticut, which I was looking forward to, but that was only kind of a brief joke which involved him not wanting to scream or hug her for fear of it being misinterpreted. So I would suggest changing the tagline, to represent more of what the story seemed to me: two strangers unexpectedly connecting in a deep way, in a world of increasing disconnection-and/or expand the play to include more specific themes of racism/gender issues.

My overall impression

Well-acted, good tension between comedy and drama. A unique, personal spotlight on grief and loneliness.
