What I liked

The sincerity of the performer. His willingness to discuss how his deep dives had impacted his life in sometimes positive and sometimes very negative ways. I think it was an excellent performance throughout that was thought-provoking and unusual.

What I didn't like

If anything (and I can’t believe I’m saying this about a one person show), I almost think it’s too short. Just as I was getting interested in how the situation and beliefs he’d decided on were impacting his family, the show seemed to end. And somewhat abruptly (for me). I think one person shows are more interesting when they deal with how relationships are affected by whatever the one person is talking about, and in this case I think a little more time could be spent WITH those interactions.

My overall impression

I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when I came to see this show. Leaving it, I’m still not entirely certain what I saw. Was this a show trying to persuade me the earth is flat (which I don’t believe based on my OWN experiments as a kid)? Does the author still actually even believe that? I left with a lot of thoughts and no clear answer. But boy, was it a hell of a ride.
