The first play "The Porch Swing" is charming, and feels very personal. It is fairly short but tells the story effortlessly.
The second play "The Almost Joy" is very clever, well written with a stand out performance by Carl Weintraub.
These are the type of plays I enjoy the most at Fringe....

Two fantastic short plays connected by the theme of "love of the unseen." I don't want to ruin the surprises of the shows, but the twists in the sweet "The Porch Swing" and the bittersweet "This Almost Joy" hit you right in the feels and in all the ways good theatre can. Check out these great winners from 2 Cents Theatre Group's annual InkFest!...

Two shows that go well with each other. Stand-out performances all around. Truly a must see of the Fringe this year. In the first piece, Julia Sanford gives us a very sweet sadness as she packs up her house that she's having trouble saying good-bye to. The relationship between her and her daughter are very solid.
In the second piece, "This Almost Joy," Carl Weintraub takes the lead and delivers one hell of a performance as he commands the audience from his first line. All three supporting actors and on point as this cast hits you right in the gut with this incredible story....
