A Very DIE HARD Christmas

I am a die-hard Die Hard fan, and this is the only good thing to happen to the IP after the initial movie. I suppose the second one is pretty good, but honestly, it's a far cry from the first. Anyway, this show is exactly as fun as you'd expect from the title and tagline. The cast keeps the energy insanely high, the jokes keep coming and they keep landing. The music is inspired, funny, and has really simple, tight choreography that keeps the story moving. Props are excellent and the full-size assault rifles do an efficient job of evoking the look and feel of the original movie. A very polished show from beginning to end. Tight blocking and transitions. Exceptional comedic performances. By the end it's a bloodbath of laughs. I specifically loved all of the nods to classic Christmas films. This ends up becoming much more than just a parody of Die Hard. Playfully retelling the plot of the well-known film, this live version manages to show complete affection for the source material while also ridiculing the convenient plot holes, dated characters and action movie logic. The show moves fast, has some truly funny musical moments and manages to work in a hilarious amount of 80's references that kept the audience giggling. The entire cast is having fun and provide big laughs. Everyone in the cast is in on the joke and knows how to milk the laughs. The entire crew of “terrorists” are the source of the biggest laughs in the show, each of them having individuals moments to shine. ... full review

I was entertained every second of the show. I was always looking forward to the next scene; considering how the Effects were in the Die Hard movie (I.e., bombs, gunshots etc), I was curious how it would be done in the show and was very impressed with the creativity.
