This show was so much fun! 4 friends end up on an adventure they never would have imagined. Besides the fantasy/DND element, the show was very much about love and relationships. Love for old friends, new friends, and the deep rooted love for family. The different plot lines were nicely layered and interwoven within the entire show. Funny and silly as you would expect, with serious personal relationships expressed throughout. I'd highly recommend! ... full review

It's been over a week since I saw the preview show, but it's popped into my head several times since. The play follows four college age friends who go on a camping trip and end up getting sucked into a magical adventure when they find fantasy weapons in the woods. If you think it sounds like a simple comedy, you'd be wrong because Lloyd seamlessly weaves existential themes and deep relationships into the light hearted premise. But before I talk about the cleverness of the script, I want to talk about the team. I was first introduced to @flattiretheatre at last year's Fringe. This is a group of friends who (mostly) studied theater together in college, and when you watch their plays (I've seen 3) it's impossible not to feel the chemistry. ... full review

Such a creative, fun, and heartwarming show. At first I wasn't sure what to expect, but thanks to the committed actors and clear direction, I was transported to an incredibly believable fantasy world. Each character had a clear arc, and I found myself tearing up at the end of the show because I was so invested in their journey (no spoilers!) ... full review

I’m a huge DND nerd. I feel only slight shame in admitting this fact. This one hit the feels, both in comedy and in heart. The actors did so well, and each fit there part. The backgrounds and lighting did an excellent job in bringing a small theatre to the woods, the magic was well played and I had a fun time all around.... full review

I have never played Dungeons and Dragons or seen/read any of the Harry Potter books or movies. Perhaps I would have appreciated the humor of this play a bit more if I had since many audience members were laughing hysterically at the references I did not understand. This fantasy play about four friends forced into the woods to search and destroy a monster called the Infector in order to protect the world from the disease it brings, was fun to watch, with an animated backdrop that rolled into position to different woodsy locations.... full review
