Merely Players Shakespeare Co. delivers A Midsummer Night’s Dream with all of the prerequisites - ridiculous Mechanicals, warring Theseus and Hippolyta, rash lovers and a mischievous Puck - all in a quick 90 minutes. Even better, they throw in their own personality by enhancing the magical aspects of Oberon and the fairies. It’s a fun addition and helps to explain how Oberon is ever able to get close enough to a sleeping Hippolyta to anoint her eyes.
