First off. This show is a lot of fun. While it is just flat out satirical and zany, the actors still stay truthful and committed to their respective roles. The show is very self-aware of itself which is part of the charm. A great fringe show. Secondly, Poe Show does not feel like, or present itself as a play. It is certainly a show of it’s own breed. It flies by as you would assume a talk show would. There is an opening monologue, a bit of banter at Poe’s desk with the Raven. A commercial, guests, commercial, guests, commercial, guest, and a wonderful musical climax. There is a lot of room for fun and play when you have such great iconic figures to work with (Dracula, Mary Shelley, Mark Twain, etc.). I had a TERRIFIC time at this show... full review

Love Love LOVED this Show!!! Brilliant, SMART concept with top notch actors who have the ability to go with anything thrown their way. Told in the style of a talk show with hilarious historical commercials... I most definitely got my ab exercise! I laughed so hard I was crying, will most certainly be seeing this again.... & am totally jonesing to see this as web series! THANK YOU!!! ... full review

I loved this show! From the hilariously deadpan host to the crazy antics of the interstitial sketches, I enjoyed myself the entire time. Even as they experienced some technical difficulties during the preview, Poe improvised off of these issues deftly (just like a real TV host). I definitely recommend this. ... full review

Being a gigantic fan of puns and literature spoofs this show was right up my alley. I would love to see this as a regular show, would be curious if they could keep up the bits on a consistent basis.... full review

Hilarious! I've watched this thing grow since its inception, and this is, like, its greatest hits. If you have never see Brendon Hunt you owe it to yourself to go just to see his work. Plus they've stocked the cast full of very funny people in their own right. Can't say enough about it. Go! you'll have a blast.... full review

Lewis Carroll had to invent the Mad Hatter because he was the perfect reflection of the century Carroll lived in. In our era, we give nutjobs a camera, a microphone and a reality TV show, or put them on FOX News, or give them millions of dollars and let them run for the Presidential nomination of the Republican Party. In the 19th Century, nutjobs grabbed a pen. Ed Goodman's hilarious THE POE SHOW kicks them into life and smacks them down on the couch of the talk show where, really, they've always belonged. Brendan Hunt polishes a drop dead deadpan to a wicked gleam as host Edgar Allen Poe and leads us through a whirring cavalcade of the repressed, the depressed and the tubercular. Casts rotate, but most of the ensemble hails from the ... full review

Such a fun concept with some of the best gags and jokes and performers you'll see at Fringe this year (one at the end might be one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life...you'll know it when you see it!). I had so much fun at this and really hope they make this a series.... full review

#SeeItLA - Brendan Hunt, as the morbid, pragmatic, dead-pan host Edgar Allen Poe had me from the beginning with the sophomoric humor, bad puns and historical/literary references. Set up as a mix between The Late Show with David Letterman and Saturday Night Live - complete with Top Ten, er Thirteen, list and commercials for fake products - this show is hysterical. There was even a special guest appearance from Shakespeare from the Three Clubs Shakespeare's Last Night Out. If you aren't well versed in Poe's era you will definitely miss quite a few of the references, but for a history/literary nut like me, this was great!... full review

A fantastic, entertaining production based on a clever and well-executed concept. I'd expect nothing less from what amounts to be a team of Fringe All-Stars - both on stage and behind the scenes. I want more Poe show! Seriously, make this a podcast or something!... full review

This show is chock full of delightfully nerdy jokes! It's fast-paced, fun, and perfectly wicked! It's a great show to cap off an evening at the Fringe Fest, and I highly recommend it!... full review
