I have to say, knowing nothing about HAPPY before sitting down, it was an unpredictable ride. With clever twists and turns (and a lofty concept on its mind), the swift, tempered directing kept my investment in the characters, and my personal enjoyment level, increasing. I was having fun! What's most profound about HAPPY (not including the superb cast/set/direction) was the conversation it provokes, and the lingering questions left in the audience's mind. Is Happiness a choice? an Avoidance? an Illusion? a LIE? Great, deep human issues are at the heart of HAPPY. Find out for yourself, are you HAPPY-ish? Great experience; a funny, dark dramedy... well-served and highly recommended.... full review

"Happy" was an interesting and thought provoking play, asking the viewer to question what happiness is and if anyone really is happy. The cast was very small but very talented. Especially Lauren Letherer who brought a real, believable emotion to her role. The set was very well put together and made the audience feel almost voyeuristic. I would absolutely recommend checking out "Happy" during the Fringe festival!... full review

This is a good good show. Humans are weird. Human relationships are complicated and messy, full of grey areas and things that break all the rules we're taught. The language is adult and well written. Love 'em or hate 'em, you'll find people in this play that you've met in real life, which is also a testament to the great and real performances by this cast, Lauren Letherer and Eric Gutierrez in particular. It finds comedy in the way we find comedy in real life but without ever selling out the seriousness of what the characters are dealing with. I knew nothing about this show and I am so glad I saw it.... full review

Interesting piece, smoothly directed and well played by the cast. Definitely explores an underlying theme relatable to a wide audience. Saw it this afternoon and the hour fifteen run time went by rather quickly. ... full review

What a fantastic FRINGE piece! The writing is honest, biting and funny. Until its not... with all its brilliant reality. These four strong actors go thru such a change and you go right along with them. I loved it.... full review

"Happy" is a thought provoking story full of depth, drama and heart. It questions our limitations and authenticity of human emotion. The cast of four is solid, with every actor so believable that I felt I was a voyour at a fascinating dinner party. The directing is skillful with creative use of space that elevates the storytelling. "Happy" is a gem that is great theater through and through!... full review

Happy is quite the strange, yet engaging show. For the first half hour of the play you really have no idea where the story is going. Some fantastic crazy girl acting from Katherine Diaz. I dated a girl that was exactly like her portrayal of the character. It was kind of scary. At the time I was dating her and watching this performance. Things really start kicking in when Eduardo enters like a big ball of fire and gets some serious laughs. Then things get strange again, but it is all ramping up to the final act and event, which of course I'm not going to spoil. The space was utilized very well. There was a lot of thought that went into the set decoration and props which makes the show look and feel very slick. If you're looking for some uncom... full review

Please add this to your Fringe must-see list, with an excellent cast and thoughtful direction, HAPPY stays with you long after the show is over. Clothes come on and off, lots of alcohol is consumed and violence ensues. The play leaves it up to you as to is admirable and who is not.... full review
