My overall impression

I loved the fresh voices in these 5 one acts – about how we connect to each other – and the rest of the universe. “Spock At Bat” is a great gender-twist on a budding romance with nice nuanced performances; “Whatever Works” explores power & sex & power; if you’ve ever been late because you were stuck on the 405, “Don’t Panic” is something we all relate to living in LA; “Ten Years Left” beautifully explores a mother’s debilitating illness; and “Out of Here” is a heartfelt comedic look about other worldly connections. For me this is what the Fringe is all about – encouraging fresh voices in theater and supporting their visions.
