This is definitely my favorite Fringe show by far. There are three reasons to see this show:
1. Non-stop laughter. Seriously. You will be highly entertained. Actually I think the only downside is I may have missed a few moments because the audience was laughing so hard.
2. If you've ever sat through a tedious, self-indulgent one-man show, you will absolutely relate to this. Except it's not tedious or self-indulgent. The 7th Annual One-Man Show World Championships is an excellent parody of every stereotype of artists who choose to perform one-man shows, from the misunderstood actor overcoming his addiction to the misunderstood actor overcoming his horrible relationship with his parents to the misunderstood actor who can't seem to mainta...

Kids...leave the room... I'm about to use some harsh language...
gone? Ok.
This show is FUCKING HYSTERICAL. From the moment the lights come up and the first character is revealed I was DYING laughing. It is a brilliant spoof of one-person shows and uses every cliche imaginable to poke fun at solo performers and dramatic theater in general. Writer and Star Jim Hanna's script is so tight and executed perfectly by the actors. Director Caitlin Rucker NAILS the little moments for each character as well. Great cast, great writing, great direction, great show. ...

Funny, clever, and thoroughly entertaining. If you've ever had to sit through a painful one-man show, you'll enjoy this delightful skewering of the form. Stand out performances by the cast. Loved it!...

I'd be very surprised if there is a better Hollywood Fringe show this year! Top notch! I saw tonight's preview performance: Tight, Cleverly Written, Wonderfully Acted - Darin Toonder is a revelation! One belly laugh after another. Director Caitlyn Rucker has done a fine job with Jim Hanna's savvy script. ...

This show had me hooked from the moment the lights came up, and took me on a ride that left me in stitches. An absolute can't-miss send-up of all things sacred (and profane) about one-person shows. Just go. You'll see what I mean. Side note - I especially loved the bits with Bridget in the booth! Remember folks, never piss off your stagehands. ...

The 7th Annual One-Man Show World Championships is a zingy, pithy send-up of what can be the most self-absorbed art form of all time. The performers are all rock solid and hilarious. Darin Toonder as Trent "The Soul Mirror" Isaacs kills it. Jim Hanna drolly underplays Gary Tweeden in delightful counterpoint. Can't wait to see what these mightily talented folks come up with next....

This show delivers on its premise and then some, skewering different types of one-man shows with deliciously over-the-top performances and absolutely ridiculous metaphors. The writing is stellar and had me laughing over and over again. All of the performers completely embody their characters. Whether you love or hate one-man shows, you should see this!...
