I have only two questions after seeing Megan Dolan Wingate in her one woman show, "Snack": Why the heck aren't I paying top dollar for this on Broadway? And why did it have to end? Clearly a brilliant collaboration between Megan and director Chris Game, the writing and acting are so effortless, witty and moving. I would rank this as one of the best shows I've seen in ages. SNACK is a signature show for the Hollywood Fringe Festival. And Megan should be brought back often. Hopefully she puts SNACK up again so more people get a chance to see it. SNACK is simply f-ing great... and everything Los Angeles theatre should be about!... full review

At her worst, Megan Dolan is better than most people's best. She is a gifted writer and performer, who can make the audience laugh through the tears... She is authentic and uninhibited. She weaves magic and the audience left high. Thank you for producing such quality work at the Fringe! ... full review

Love, Love, LOVE THIS SHOW! Megan is a phenomenal storyteller, transitioning effortlessly from character to character as she shares her insightful, brave story. What I love most about Megan's writing is that she never forces any opinions on her audience. There are no statements made...she doesn't guide you to feel any one way about her story..she simply tells it - mostly through the eyes of her 8 year old self...And what's so beautiful about that kind of writing is that we get to decided for ourselves what we feel by simply experiencing it with her but through the eyes and experience of an adult. The writing is superb. Her performance is extraordinary and she never misses a beat. Megan is one of those unique performers who lights up the... full review

This is a must see. One of the funniest and most touching one person shows I have seen in a while. Megan is so engaging as a performer and a writer. ... full review

Do not go on an empty stomach! All the talk of food made me hungry as it was used to weave together an engaging story of a mother's dilemma of dealing with her young children. The references of 70s and 80s pop culture pulled me into the story and I wanted to know more. A well done and at times heart breaking story. ... full review

Megan Dolan never disappoints. She is quite possibly the most honest performer I have had the pleasure to witness. Her story is deeply moving, hysterically funny and majestically uplifting. Watching her sparkle with vivid life on stage makes me want to be a better artist. In a mere hour of your time, she quickly becomes your best friend, grabs at your hearts strings and doesn't let go. "Snack" is a show you cannot miss. Kudos to her director, Chris Game; inventive set designer, Curtis Brooks; and whimsical artwork by Nikki McCauley! This is how theater is done!... full review

Somehow Writer/Performer Megan Dolan does an entire solo show about her life, framed around food. This turns out to be an extremely creative way to tell her story. Dolan gives accounts of her life as a mother, daughter, and sibling and uses the snacks that were nearby at the time (Ice cream sundaes, Lorna Doone cookies etc) to complete the imagery for the audience. Dolan goes all out with her performance giving us different and weird characters to sell it. Dolan is a talented performer and writer and makes this show funny, endearing, and ridiculous all at the same time. ... full review

What a heartwarming show- it was as sweet and warm and extreme as the wanting of a fresh baked cookie! Cute and fun- Megan is a wonderful person to spend time with and watch on stage and off. She has such a spirit that is undefinable yet you are drawn to it like you are drawn to the smell of fresh baked cookies! Fantastic job.... full review

Megan Dolan gives a completely entertaining and endearing performance using such a clever device to move us in time through her story - snacks! I think it is so relatable to associate "favorite foods" and special songs with impactful moments in your life, either as a part of the moment or as relief from that moment and Dolan did this beautifully. Very, very clever writing and a stellar performance! Cheers!... full review
