YOSHIBA is based on real events… or rather it’s based on real customer complaints based on allegedly real events having to do with computers. No! YOSHIBA is a fictional play that utilizes computer-related customer claims as a broad jumping-off point to explore the fun characters and silly narratives behind them. Together, these exaggerated stories present an “artistic” glimpse into the kind of pervasive, absurd, sometimes destructive, and ultimately revealing relationship we humans have with our computers. But they in no way are meant to be representative of any kind of objective reality that could be used as evidence in a court of law.
