This is the most gloriously insane and fanatically irreverent production of a Shakespeare play I've ever seen--and that's a very good thing. Very few directors would have the guts to add an entire alien invasion framing device to a Shakespeare comedy, but I'll be damned if Megan Kelly and Kate Grabeau's adaptation doesn't pull it off by being ludicrously unfaithful to the show and actually writing at least one new iambic pentameter monologue detailing a horrific alien saucer, delivered with smart frantic energy by Evan Smith as The Messenger (mostly called "Smith"), who carries the bulk of the alien subplot. What a fun show! Shakespeare's comedy gets a new and very modern take on this tale of love with aliens dropping in to stir things up. Very clever use of items purchased at the 99 Cent Store to create outer space props that light up, and allowing the audience to participate by handing out glow sticks to wave at appropriate moments.Excellent musical and sound effects accompaniment by Greg Nicolett. Classic Shakespeare lines from many of his plays and thrown in throughout, which garnered lots of laughs from the audience. Life is but a walking shadow.... takes on new meaning!... full review

Funny show, the best bits were the parts with the aliens, the actor who plays the bastard and the actor who played the manservant were both so committed and funny…fun stuff!... full review
