An incredibly funny and thought provoking piece, doubleplay is exciting to watch and keeps you laughing from start to finish. With complex character development in such a short period of time, Dennis Danziger's doubleplay is not to be missed.... full review

I hate the Yankees. As a matter of fact, there are few things in life that I hate more than the New York Yankees. The Tampa Bay Rays come to mind, but that's besides the point. I'm a die-hard Red Sox Fan, so anything about the Yankees automatically makes me cringe. Well, this play is set outside Yankee Stadium, and not only did I really like this play, I want to produce it myself one day. A great, engaging story that delves into the reasons why we love the game itself; something we can all relate to regardless of who we root for. I am disappointed this group is only mounting the first half of the show at the festival this year. I hope I'll get to see or read Act II soon. ... full review

I thoroughly enjoyed the show, Double Play last night. The characters were interesting and fun to watch. The premise was funny and the dialogue was fast paced. I am not really a sports fan, but it got me thinking about why we do love our sports teams and sporting events. I didn't want it to end!... full review

Smart, funny, wonderfully written and acted, I've seen it twice and am telling all of my friends to go. It so wonderfully captures an era, and simultaneously feels timeless, especially as a love story to baseball and falling in love.... full review

Meticulous and copious dialogue, well delivered by great actors; and a story I'd love to learn the end of. You don't need to be a baseball fan to like this play (although it may help); and you don't need to like the Yankees (I hate them) - but there is a good chance you also will start rooting for the characters on stage.... full review
