Written and performed by Mitchell, and directed by Christian Levatino, "Linden Arden Stole the Highlights" tells the fanciful first-person tale of a man now pushing 50 who, for a handful of years, became enmeshed in the street drug trafficking scene in post-Hippie San Francisco. While it starts off a little slow, Colin Mitchell easily picks up the momentum leading down the road to the horrible incident that causes Linden Arden to become an outcast in his little Scottish town. Despite the downtrodden nature of the man himself, Mitchell infuses a good deal of humor and play into the telling so that at the end you sympathize more for the man than you are horrified by his crime. "Linden Arden Store the Highlights" is a powerful story, told by a strong storyteller.... full review
