CONSTANCE JAQUAY STRICKLAND uncertified reviewer June 21, 2014
What can I say! It was a terrific show. I laughed and wanted to play. I am a most serious being and this show took me outside myself and brought me back to the basics of theatre. It was two people onstage giving everything they had while executing grandeur skills. Amica is beyond flexible and what her and David create together onstage is quite beautiful. The moment the balloon popped and Amica begins to cry well I must say that was one of the highlights of the piece for me--there was something so powerful about that moment. They reinforced in my mind that one need not need a narrative to tell a story-they just need heart! GO see them this weekend you will not regret it!!... full review

Clowning is hard! Silent clowning is even harder. But, Beau and Aero pull off their one-hour show with a breezy easiness that belies the difficulties of such a feat. What's even more amazing is that much of show is built around a simple, common party accessory. Their Punch and Judy antics, masterful acrobatic skills and delightful audience rapport make this a show well worth your time!... full review

Inspired, glorious clowning -- Flying through air with the greatest of unease on a wish and a balloon, the gently pompous Beau (David Cantor) and indomitable Aero (Amica Hunter) blend the gentle sweetness of Laurel & Hardy with a romantic tension like Tracy and Hepburn. All in silence. Keeping it elegantly simple (take that, Cirque du Spectacle), they mock, mug and mope with non-stop energy and invention, making us almost believe they -- and we -- really can fly. Flap your arms, laugh, cheer, cry a little, and fall utterly in love. You'll be so very, very glad you did. Beau & Aero brings back a millennia-old tradition from the edge of obscurity, and shows us why people love clowns (even I, who almost never have). ... full review

BEAU & AERO open up the Fringe Festival and transports it into a theatre world of magic, music & laughter! Watching David Cantor as Beau conjured up images of Chaplin & Keaton while Amica Hunter as Aero at times moved like the great Harpo Marx while making you laugh like you were watching Lucille Ball in white face. Their talents range from acrobatics to balloon bits combined with dance and music so good at times you forget you're watching clowns! Audience interaction plus hysterical bits made me love this even more! A Fringe classic that made me want to see more! Great show!... full review

Too much fun. MUST-SEE Fringe event. When they come back town, I will be first in line for tickets. Lovely, hilarious, bittersweet, transcendent and beautifully grounded. "Beau & Aero" is a wonder. ... full review

Beau & Aero is a charming and beautiful show. It is playful, funny, silly and extremely endearing. David Cantor (Beau) and Amica Hunter (Aero) are gifted performers and entertainers. They have incredible chemistry together and the way they interact with the audience is a delight to watch! The 50 minutes flew by and when it was time for the show to end, nobody wanted to leave. Aero had to come out and tell us we could leave because otherwise we probably would've stayed all day. I wish Beau & Aero had more performances at the Hollywood Fringe because I would see them again in a heartbeat. They are off to the San Diego Fringe now, so if you didn't catch them here be sure to catch them there! This is my favorite performance at the Fringe so far.... full review
