I am Nahui Olin is a deeply sensual portrayal of a woman bursting at the seams with passion and creative energy who was too large for the patriarchal society and repressive time in which she was born. Virginia Novello gives a masterful performance and completely embodies the character with sensuality, vulnerability and power. ... full review

Writer/director Jessica Silvetti keeps the script tight and the storytelling focused, no small feat for a solo show about a life this big. Virginia Novello pulls you in immediately and doesn't let go. What could have felt like a history lesson becomes something much more immersive, like getting lost in a good book you can't put down. She brought Nahui Olin to life with so much passion and radiance that I went straight home to learn more about the Latina artist's life and work. This one deserves a longer life beyond Fringe. Hope it finds one.... full review
