For lovers of cabaret and Broadway musicals, Kelly Krauter’s “Rosie’s Turn” stands in a light where few can follow. Teetering on a pinnacle between brilliant and silly, this show about a Broadway wanna-be and a tap-dancing subway rat that steals her thunder is masterfully crafted and deliciously danced and sung by Krauter, who is not only a musical revelation all her own, but also bears an amazing resemblance to Liza Minnelli. Loaded with sight gags and Broadway/show tune Easter eggs, “Rosie’s Turn” is not to be believed. Do yourself a favor and go with a friend because without someone to witness this show with you, you’ll never be able to find the words to explain to anyone how fantastic this show is. For those who don’t like Broadway musicals, this show may very well go right over your head.
