This is a 45-minute clown piece built entirely around a hula hoop.
Combining immersive theater, improvisation, performance art, and audience participation, every iteration of “hoop” is unique.

R.M. Aranda is a queer Mexican-American performer who has trained in clown and immersive theater with the Idiot Workshop, Natasha Mercado, Phil Burgers, Adam Smith, Eric Davis; improv/sketch with Upright Citizen’s Brigade and Groundlings; Meisner at Elizabeth Mestnik’s Acting Studio; and the theater department at UC Irvine. They had a successful run of their solo show “…and the hits just keep on coming!” at Hollywood Fringe 2025, and they’ve been developing this new solo clown piece over the past year.
