What I liked

it was amazing to watch how certain bits took off. The hole-in-the-bucket song kind of sputtered out of a half remembered gate and then soared grew into a rip-roaring stomp-along. The kid in the car. The amazing lesson in circular economy.

What I didn't like

It felt as though the performer seemed a little dissatisfied with the audience participation — but in the performance there was a torpor in the room due to the early start and the excessive heat.

My overall impression

With nothing but her voice and her body and a light up hula hoop — RM conjures a world that is 1/3 cosmic, 1/3 dream, 1/3 memory. There’s real magic here. Elegant, expansive, funny and elegaic. A show with hoop and hope.
