What I liked

Aranda‘s commitment to the character is compelling. They pull you into their world with laughter and sadness. Aranda was also well-attuned to the audience. I was impressed with how they reflected a whole range of emotions back to the audience with confidence. Very cool to watch.

My overall impression

RM Aranda’s “Hoop” is a dreamy, contemplative clown show where you get to talk with a real live alien from another planet about each other’s life problems with the aid of a glowing hula hoop (or two or three of them). Aranda pulls you into their world, emotionally, and you’ll want to tag along.
