Shahin’s character work was particularly strong, especially in scenes between a father and his son, torn apart by a death that haunts them both. Simple staging let the story speak for itself.
What I didn't like
This was perfect folk tale
My overall impression
Shahin Sayadi beautifully presented folk tale kept us on the edge of our seats, a thinly veiled nod to the troubles in his native Iran. Through dance, myth and well-crafted character work, Shahin gives us an unrequited love poem to his country and its unrest. A simply beautiful hour of theatre.
