Stefan Marks is a spellbinder of a storyteller. Watching "My One Woman Show" begins with what seems a simple look at the honesty an artist goes through to create a solo play, but ends up somewhere completely different. It's a rocky journey and a celebration of life, love and devastating loss, with an impeccable actor who commands our attention the moment he steps foot onstage.... full review

"My one woman show" is a TOUR DU FORCE! I don't use that phrase lightly. But this show is on another level. This is an actor at the top of his game. A Clever, calm, with a brilliantly constructed story. I loved every moment of it. ... full review

Ahhh....the solo show journey...How to write a solo show? What do you say? What questions do you ask? Do you join a solo show class? Please the teacher with witty answers to his questions? Do you just say f-it, I'm going to go to Peru and let the ayahuaysca do the writing for me? Maybe I'll be original with how I break the fourth wall and talk to the audience. Perhaps I'll find my show in their expressions and reactions? Should I sing? Yes! ALL OF THE ABOVE! Stefan Marks brilliantly weaves a solo show within a solo show. Powerful, engaging, funny, sad, pathetic at times, joyful at others, Marks is electric and such a master in his storytelling. Gut punch at the end even if you suspect it's coming. Had the audience destroyed....in a good way... full review

Andre Gide said : The role of the artist is to disturb. This is a disturbing play. And fucking brilliant. Yeah, this remarkable one-person conception by Stefan Marks is perfectly titled (though you won't understand why until the final few minutes), and flawlessly rendered in various (beautifully-choreographed) tonal modes. Part meta-theater, part autobiography, all amazing, you've got to see it. ... full review
