Charlie was so connected and real while being SUCH a dumb dumb bro. What a charmer! He had us in the palm of his hands. Somehow Charlie made us love him then hate him then love him again even deeper. Bigger than life, absurdist and alive. We were flung between the pages of one of the most classic plays of our time. Charlie made the Old feel New. Charlie brought us dumb Americans in by leveling with us that Shakespeare is hard to understand but then suddenly made it so easy to understand, even when he too became complicated. Charlie is dangerously defiant while being soft and sincere. Charlie has been a Fringe regular for years from across the pond and we love to see his charisma schmooze the streets of Hollywood. Go see this play!! ... full review

Paris + Juliet is a thoroughly captivating piece of theater, brilliantly carried by Charlie Day from beginning to end. His performance is not only laugh-out-loud funny but also surprisingly lyrical and deeply moving. Day demonstrates a genuine understanding of Shakespeare, balancing the Bard's wit and heartbreak in a performance that is as thoughtful as it is entertaining. I'd recommend this show to anyone in Los Angeles...a rare chance to experience Shakespeare as intended: with an actual Englishman.... full review

Paris gets no respect, no respect at all. But Charlie Day is here to change that! Equal parts hilarious and sweet, Paris + Juliet is a must-see for Shakespeare nerds of all creeds, and maybe even your non-nerd friends as well. ... full review

I saw this show last year, and to be honest, I don't usually see shows a second time, but Paris + Juliet is just too darn good to miss when there is a chance to see it. Charlie's effervescent personality fills a room, and his success is only matched by his shining light as a human. Having such quality work from such a quality human makes it so worthy to get a chance to experience, and humbles me having the opportunity to see a such wonderful human use his talents to create a riveting, comedic romp that is extremely hilarious, a little bonkers, and fully poignant.... full review

Charlie takes a character we barely care about in one of the most famous plays ever written and imbues him with humor, heart, pathos, and oh, did I mention humor?! He's a master Shakespearean actor who's also busting out the best dance moves at Fringe! I never thought I'd care about Paris but, thanks to Charlie, he might just be my new favorite character in Romeo & Juliet.... full review

I saw this show last year, and was just as delighted by it on a second viewing. Paris’ reckoning with the public vs. private versions of himself is equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking.... full review
