This show captures anxiety with unsettling accuracy and unexpected humor, turning spiraling thoughts into something theatrical and alive. Relatable, honest, and quietly devastating in the way it recognizes exactly what it feels like to be inside your own head. Great performances from the actors! ...

This was one of my favorites at fringe. The direction was thoughtful to the theme of the material which was relatable and engaging. The writing was fresh and the breaking of the 4th wall gave that extra bit of humanistic connection that added depth to the story. ...

One of my favorite shows at the fringe. I want to see this play further developed into an hour or longer. I was thinking about the show's themes long after the curtain call. We can be our own worst enemy and with that observation, how do we remain self compassionate - especially when it comes to being vulnerable when creating (writing in this case). I really wanted another 30 minutes to this show. The acting and directing was solid. Theo, Casey, Lucas, Spencer and the whole Angst team really had me leaving wanting more....

A powerful, cathartic look at facing your worst enemy - yourself. Using an ever-present roommate to represent the insecurities and negative thoughts that hold us back, Angst personifies our deafening inner voices of self-doubt. Deftly directed by Casey Buxton-Dean and expertly handled in the hands of Spencer Weitzel, this show is an emotionally raw, painfully relatable experience of facing your demons during the creative process and what, if anything, is left of you when they're gone. ...

This is a beautiful meta-comedy about life that I think we can all relate to. The script by Lucas James Nelson is wonderfully self-aware and relatable, with an added bonus of being beautifully self-depricating of itself and the festival it's a part of. Luca's writing is sharp, funny and personal.
Sharp directing by Casey Buxton-Dean gives this fourth wall breaking show a really grounded feel, something that's not easy to pull off when there's this much conversation.
The stars, Spencer & Theo, are magnetic. The crowd work makes each show a little different, but their connection to each other is what draws you in. I've seen Spencer in multiple shows, and have had the pleasure of him perform in one of my own, and he's truly one of the gre...

Beautifully executed. In an other actor’s hands this would be a hard show to watch, but Spencer Weitzel uses a masters level of precision, weaving humor and pain. You can’t help but laugh and rediscover your faith in humanity. ...
