What I liked

All the moments Julius Cesar basically mimicked the current administration’s actions and hate speech.

Truly there were so many jokes here.

The cast had a blast and you could tell.

Even though soooo many actors were pulling double or triple duty, I appreciated the color coded robes. It helped me track who was who and who was on which side.

Loved how the actors who played multiple roles really did change their performances depending on the character they were playing. The girl playing Ptolemy/Octavian was a stand out for me.

What I didn't like

As a Greek/Roman empires fan I honestly hoped this would be a more grounded/serious piece and it took me a bit to get into the chaotic silliness of the piece.

My overall impression

A very ambitious topic covered in the funniest, silliest most chaotic way possible. This would’ve been an excellent SNL skit. At 1:30 it’s hard to keep up all those jokes going and going, but this cast found a way to make so much complicated history compelling and entertaining.
