I knew nothing about this show going into it and I walked out fully obsessed with Jasmine Elist! In a Fringe full of solo shows, Anxiety the Musical tops the list for me. Elist pulls only the best tropes of the genre and created a piece that studies personal subject matter without hitting you over the head with it. Also this show is HI-LAR-I-OUS. Highly recommend!...

I was really astounded by how raw and real it felt while balancing so many comedic elements. I went to the Thursday night showing on the 25th and it was my first time ever attending a solo act performance. I enjoyed it very much. ...

ANXIETY the Musical is unforgettable!!!! What a masterful journey into the way that anxiety can trap us from childhood through adulthood. and with SONG! Jasmine is a FORCE and connects to deep wounds while making us all laugh *with* instead of *at*. "Anxiety: The Musical!" is Jasmine Elist's autobiographical musical work, relating stories of fear, isolation, and self-deprecation through jubilant and entertaining sketches and songs. High praise for Elist from the start, as she admittedly wrote and performed this show because it made her face her performance fears head-on. With music by Adam Elder, Jasmine is to be further commended for penning the lyrics, for which she has a great gift. Zeroing in on one of the biggest trends in this year's festival - themes of anxiety disorder and fear—Elist brings this turbulent plane in for a quiet and miraculously peaceful landing. This show is fun, relatable, raw and beautiful to watch....

A delightful musical that is in fact anxiety-inducing. I feel like I've got my anxiety under control, but when Jasmine called on me to play her therapist, I spent several minutes during and after the play anguishing over whether I did it right! The performance is compelling, #relatable, and frankly inspiring - I couldn't believe Jasmine isn't vocally trained, because she sounds great!...

I do like the title and it is okay. Anxiety The Musical is a hilarious ride through what I thought was just what it’s like to be alive. Jasmine is such a funny and charismatic performer I could have watched thirty more minutes. Her writing is clever and really taps into something that I don’t think I’ve seen accurately represented in any kind of media. The songs are also catchy and her voice is beautiful. Above all though Jasmine is a great comedic performer. ...
