Fucking fantastic. What a great show!! Jasmine was incredibly heartwarming, extremely funny and thoughtfully serious when the scene called for it. She really utilized the space well and even took the liberty to invite the audience in to participate throughout the show. Spoiler: In fact, I was the lucky participant to give Jasmine a much needed pep talk (hey, girlypop!!) like I was one of her good friends in order to momentarily relieve her anxiety. While I was validating Jasmine's anxiety, I shed a couple of tears because I felt slightly overwhelmed and anxious myself having been in a similar position many times before. I loved this show! There is so much to unpack and this show has so much going for it! Hilarious, talented and genuine, Jasmine is an absolute delight and instantly relatable as a young woman dealing with anxiety and wanting desperately to find a solution to her "problem." Might you know how to help her? I loved the plane ride and the voice overs. I loved her songs which were expertly in synch with what felt and sounded like a live soundtrack. And though she says she's not a singer, Jasmine has both a beautiful speaking and singing voice. Finally, I loved the creative and unique use of the fourth wall. Highly recommend!... full review

It's not easy doing a musical when you are doing it with a cast of people. It's not easy doing a musical about a topic that all of us deal with so personally. But to do both in a way that is both entertaining and uplifting while still being relatable is a impossible task that Jasmine absolutely crushes. She takes on the task singing to a track (which is beyond fucking hard by itself), really going the distance with her characters, and giving us an insight into her brain and the struggles she has (and that really all of us have) on a day to day basis. And the fact that she isn't a professional singer and not trained in singing (which she self admits on stage) makes the entire thing even more impressive.
