Lots of solo shows talk about a journey, something with a clear beginning, middle, and end. But Laurel goes a different direction, fleshing out a specific moment—and the show absolutely shines for that choice. Painting the before, then the process of one spring and Fringe season, is a brilliant touch, a story told with humor and pathos in equal measure in only the way hindsight can balance.

My overall impression
A really fun show, combining storytelling, physical comedy, and a brilliant behind the scenes look at a technically impressive Fringe show from 2025. You’d think Laurel had been doing solo shows for years!
