Although this show is labeled as a tense psychological thriller (which it is) I find it to be so much more as it deftly highlights issues still plaguing women today and reminds us how at times 1984 is not that different than 2026. I particularly appreciated that the play had all the women talking in the bathroom and on the street after the show about how they might have handled themselves if they were in the shoes of Hannah, expertly portrayed by Emily Clark. ... full review

One the Line is a tight, well put together, incredibly tense thriller. Disturbing and scary. Funny and charming. Somehow all at once. The show achieved an unsettling feel, that only grew and made me continuously wonder when the sh*t was going to hit the fan.... full review

On the Line is a gripping, unsettling piece of theater that really stays with you. Emily Clark, Lucas Alifano, and Jeff Scot Carey pull you into this small Seattle call center and keep the tension simmering all night. The writing and direction by Pamela Eberhardt and Dan Testa keep the story clear and focused while letting the unease build in a very natural way. I left feeling shaken, disturbed, impressed, and genuinely grateful I got to see this team’s work. There is a content warning about graphic discussions of sexual assault.... full review

On the Line kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Gritty, raw, and deeply unsettling, it made for an incredible night at the theater. I cannot recommend this show enough, absolutely a must-see. Kudos to the cast and creative team for skillfully weaving humor, humanity, and grace into such a delicate and complex story. The result is suspenseful, creepy, and deliciously uncomfortable in all the right ways. On the Line masterfully balances tension and vulnerability; it is bold, unforgettable theater. Do yourself a favor and go see it.... full review

I did not expect to laugh as much as I did at a play set in a crisis call center. Pamela Eberhardt is a master at finding the humanity and humor in dark situations, so I should not have been surprised. Teaming up this time with Dan Testa to write and direct, Pamela has delivered another unforgettable show in a great collaboration. The cast is strong, particularly Emily Clark who inhabits her character with such detail and delicate precision. Go see this show. Can't recommend it highly enough.... full review

The Unknown Artists showcase a dramedy worthy of life well-beyond the Fringe. In their joint collaboration, playwrights Pamela Eberhardt and Dan Testa offer up the unsettling, "On the Line." For a trio of Seattle-based crisis hotline workers, help is only a phone call away. It's about maintaining professionalism, not judging, and staying calm. Isn't it? What happens when the calls start sharing a common thread of dread? Past trauma never really leaves a person. And, regardless of whoever answers, the phone lines are going to keep ringing and ringing and ringing. ... full review

On the Line was an emotional Tilt-a-Whirl. Humorous when it needed to be, stomach-dropping at unexpected moments and a purposeful, uncomfortable thrill ride of interpersonal communication. The cast hit all the right notes, and the direction was spot on. No moments were pushed or forced. The play kept me guessing till the very end. Go see it while you can still get tickets.... full review

ON THE LINE was an endlessly entertaining hour of tension stuck with these two characters inside a crisis call center. The acting was phenomenal and the writing snappy, really roping the audience in and letting them feel the fear alongside the main character.... full review

Outstanding. The script was tight. The direction was on point. The acting across the board was fantastic. Each actor brought such a necessary element to the stage. The chemistry between all three was palpable. I was never bored and was on the edge of my seat. Some stand out moments that shouldn't be spoilers but if you know you know: Blouse, James (at the end) and bite!... full review
