I adore the mystery theme of “The Secrets of Uvhash-Ra” and really liked the clever character work throughout the play. I also loved the stylized choices of staging, lighting and costuming.

My overall impression
“The Secrets of Uvhash-Ra” is a captivating ride, full of mystery, lore, romance, suspense, and all things spooky and cool. I’m a huge fan of adventure, choose-your-own-path video games like Life Is Strange and the Dark Picture anthology, and “The Secrets of Uvhash-Ra” had a similar quality, where as an audience member, I felt like I was along for the journey of “the secrets” that lurked in the school hallways of the play. When the show ended, I found myself wanting more! I loved Kate Schaefer’s writing and I can easily see “The Secrets of Uvhash-Ra” both on stage with sequels and also filmed as an episodic. Exciting and clever direction by Soda Persi, and fantastic performances for a very talented ensemble. All together, a really fun play to see, and a must watch especially if you’re a fan of Goosebumps/Fear Street/Sabrina The Teenage Witch style shows!
