What a great show! Jim has a way of telling his story with such honesty, a wink and a nod but also so much sincerity! This show is the perfect vehicle to show off all the things that make him unique, genuine and wickedly smart! Beautifully directed by Corey Lynne Howe and Produced with care and ease by Lisa K Wyatt - there are laugh out loud funny moments but also deeply heartfelt beautiful moments. The show has the perfect title, “Happy, Merry, Joyous” is an exact description of what this show is. You know that uncle that you see around the holidays that would always make you laugh as a kid, and then as you grew up you got to know the real him and he was even better? Score one for the Christmas-lovers in Los Angeles, because who doesn't love a potty-mouthed Christmas caroler in the middle of June? "Happy! Merry! Joyous!" is Jim Blanchette's true-to-form, fairly raw celebration of music, friendship, life and yes, Christmas. This show serves up much more than first meets the eye and ear, with Mr. Blanchette, who's actually the kind of guy you'd wanna grab a beer with after work, ending on a powerful and very human note, with some terrific stories along the way. There's much to identify with here and at least this theatre-goer hopes this becomes a yearly event. Then again, how could it? Mr. Blanchette will be too busy singing in a mall, private party or restaurant near you.... full review

As a caroler myself, I found such joy in watching this show, but I think non-carolers alike will get so much joy out of this show as well. Inspiring, heartfelt, and humorous, Jim is so charismatic, and I didn't want the show to end! A treat for not just the holidays, but any occasion, Happy! Merry! This was a fabulous and relatable show. If you are a Christmas Caroler, you can relate to Jim's stories of what it's like to start having to think about Christmas all the way back in June every year. What what the process is from rehearsals that start before Halloween, to the very night you can finally relax on Christmas Eve as the last "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" is sung before you wearily make your way to the car. If you're not a Christmas Caroler, Jim paints a thorough picture of what we go through, to spread joy to the malls, parties and restaurants. It's eye-opening for people who get to enjoy the type of December that caroler's vaguely remember from the "before" times.... full review
