The musical strikes a deft a balance between portraying anxiety in a colorful and humorous way and identifying it as a meaningful problem. The story exudes imagination, both in the enumeration of Jeremy’s many fears and their on-stage dramatization. The ultimate message (though perhaps a little unclear in details) was an endearing and positive one. The character of Maggie stands out as memorable in writing, songwriting, and performance by Maya Puterbaugh.
What I didn't like
The mother’s plot thread didn’t quite tonally mesh with the rest of the show. Some of the early songs felt like repeat beats, and could have used some variety of focus.
My overall impression
A sweet and imaginative story about dealing with creative anxiety. Not just for kids.
