In Search of Black People is the kind of show I love—hilarious, engaging, and deeply thought-provoking all at once. Roz Browne has a remarkable ability to make an audience laugh while inviting them to reflect on bigger questions about identity, belonging, and community.
What stood out most was Roz's masterful delivery. Her comedic timing is impeccable, and she commands the stage with confidence, warmth, and authenticity. Every story landed with precision, whether it sparked laughter, reflection, or both....

Unique story of a family adventure that not many people get to take. I was inspired to have an adventure like that with my family. I also appreciate the transparency Roz gave in her show. Her family has some fun characters. This show displays the perspective of a culture that is often copied and desired yet criticized and judged. ...

This was my second time seeing this performance, and my overall impression was still that this is an incredibly entertaining show! The story of Roz Brown's family and her trip to Africa was interesting by itself, but the way Roz impersonated the characters and brought the story to life kept me hanging on her every word!!!...

From the first moment Roz greeted us onstage I knew I was going to enjoy this show. She is engaging and generously makes herself accessible to the room as a storyteller. We feel we are right there with her, when she nods at her neighbors, takes a trip to Africa, eats a bad dose of tiger ball soup. . .we are right there with her. In Search of Black People is a hilarious, but meaningful journey back to the center of the self....
