A fantastic show that embodies the spirit of the Fringe Festival! What happens when you throw systematic injustice, vengance, trauma, and the human spirit into a blender? Nyx: The Girl Born to Chaos. A dramatic smoothie of dark comedy and action, and a decidedly human narrative driven by passionate performers who put together some of the best 30 minutes of theater I've experienced in a long time. ...

I am so wildly IMPRESSED by this play.
IMPRESSED is actually quite the understatement.
The courage this group had to tackle such formidable subject matter…
With story threads overlaying different timelines so elegantly, it took my breath away.
The complexity of the audio sound design hauntingly built the backstory.
And this masterful sound design had me caring and invested in everything that was to unfold.
And I haven’t even started raving about the performances of these esteemed actors, their director and their producer....

Very fun play with a lot to cover but done at a great pace! You're never in a moment too long before something new is shown or revealed. As well, I could totally visualize the world beyond the stage. The production design and lighting really transported me. Great performances, too! Loved the physicality of it....

Not just entertainment or a show, but ART in the truest sense of the word. It makes you feel things that may make you uncomfortable for a moment but are real, honest, and fulfilling to watch unfold. The characters and story quickly draw you in and the dialogue keeps you on the edge of your seat and feeling safe at the same time with the humor woven throughout. Engaging and one of a kind. The work and love put into this world and script pour out of every ounce of the performance. It’s honest, and it’s what you need in your life. Go see it if you get the chance!...

The biggest strength of Nyx is the production’s attention to detail and world building. The costumes, set, and fight choreography create a world that is equal parts disturbing and wonderful. Even the pre-show announcement is thoroughly planned out and themed to create an environment of glamorous chaos. If you enjoy the TV show Arcane or any Harley Quinn show or movie, this story feels like a direct continuation. The whole experience is a finely polished spectacle....

Very entertaining and enjoyable show! Fun and disturbing, if you're into that. The show is better than comic book movies, it is a live comic strip, a surreal experience. ...

CRAZY
What an amalgamation of pure talent! I was so impressed with the level of professionality this show exhibited. From the brilliant sound design, to the set and costumes, to the acting -- every level of this show was worth the wait! A powerhouse performer, Charlotte Kaseta, always had the audience in the palm of her hand. The intricate character work shown through like a diamond in the rough here in Los Angeles -- a level of craft that you would assume had been grown in New York or the UK. Kaseta was poised, detailed, subtle and specific in her stand-out performance.
The supporting talent was just as impressive! Ross Gosla was a perfect villain with amazing command of the stage. Steph Martinez was an expert at bringing some real humanity ...
