My overall impression
Sugar mud is clown leveraged as an avenue for performance art. Ineffable comments on lineage and family, sometimes you aren’t really sure why two things are happening next to, on-top-of, through each other. And yet that gruff voice of the first character rings through, it’s soothing the way that Maggie holds the audience. Its exciting the way that Maggie tells you without telling you.
