Get on the dirt clod bitch, we’re getting sucked up by a tornado! But who will be our guide as we ride the upward spiral of the dust devil’s back? With unpredictable twists at every turn of the tornado, we have no other choice than to put our fate into the hands of an ancient, infamous, back-asswards, morphing crone named Sugar Mud. Under their wings, we’ll fly this thing all the way to the TOP.
Meat Bar’s solo clown show, Sugar Mud, is inspired by their Granny (born 1908) getting picked up by a tornado (in 1920), the writer Jorge Luis Borges (born 1899) and his short story Circular Ruins (written in 1940), an eternal marriage becoming an eternal divorce (∞), their Mormon temple name [redacted], rock bottoms, and rocks.
Audience reviews:
“It’s a pleasure to watch someone so naturally funny carry an audience through the most absurd and sometimes dark places. A beautiful human. A honking good show. Must see.”
“I’m in a group chat where we’re all gushing about your show and how much it affected us. It was so magnificent, I’m honored to have held the family wrench!”
“A powerful and sensitive and unique performer. There’s no one out here doing it like Meat, it’s an honor to peek into their world.”
