BEAUTIFUL production design. Thoughtful stage design. Great concept, incredible singing. Truly brought tears to my eyes. Such a fun concept that was clearly still so personal and heartfelt. Some of the best drag and vocal performance I've seen in a long time....

Maureen SanDiego is a bawdy beast. As Alan Cummings’ butt baby, she is an off-the-cuff crackpot and crackshot, taking out her audience, whether with comedic precision, or as heaping handful of stinky wrath hurled straight from the lower colon…but ALWAYS a lovable bestower of belly laughs....

When I went in to A Star is Aborted I had no idea what I was getting myself into. What awaited me on the other side of the stage was the most wonderfully foul burlesque drag/musical review I have ever seen. Maureen San Diego may have crafted something that belongs in the queer canon alongside works like John Water’s Pink Flamingos or Glee. I’m still not entirely sure what Maureen put me through but you should let her serenade you too....
